Quasar Mobile Laser Maze
Upon entering the briefing area you are told the laser tag etiquette rules:
No running
No climbing on the obstacles
No covering the pack sensors
No physical contact
Some Quasar Mobile Laser Maze's may have additional rules, these should be followed as they are put in place for your own safety.
After the game marshal has informed you of the rules and demonstrated the correct way of putting on the pack you will then enter the pack room and suit up.
Once you have your pack on you will enter the arena. On the way through the arena entrance you will have to power up your phasor and pack. Your marshal will show you how to do this.
Once you are in the arena then you just need to keep tagging your opponents.
At the end of the game you will need to return to the pack room and remove your pack. Then you will need to collect your score sheet to see how well or how badly you did.
Laser Tag is a game of wits and cunning, stealth and strategy. A game that at times seems almost real. Laser tag is generally an indoor game where you can play in teams or one on one in a pre built (static) arena.
The equipment used consists of:
A PACK/ VEST
This contains built in sensors and speakers. This is also the bit of equipment that you wear on your body. Each time a sensor is hit it stores the information to be downloaded into the computer at the end of the game. This is how the computer knows who won in the end.
A GUN/ PHASOR
All systems have a phasor of some description. These project a laser beam out of the barrel instead of say...... a paintball. The lasers used in this game are completely harmless to us. In fact they are no more powerful than the IR (infra red) beam that comes out of your TV remote control.
This has got to be the most fun game with the least amount of mess that anyone ever invented.
THE ARENA
An arena is made up of lots of walls and sometimes has ramps to go up and obstacles such as barrels to hide behind. The arena is sometimes a dark place with few lights and smoke billowing out from somewhere deep inside. This is the Atmosphere......
GAME PLAY
When you come to play your game, the marshal (person overseeing the game) will explain how to put on your pack and how to use the phasor properly. He will also issue a verbal set of rules. I can tell you the most important one now:
NO RUNNING
If you are running you triple your chance of injury and endanger your fellow players. Other rules include:
NO CLIMBING
NO PHYSICAL CONTACT
These are for your safety so please follow them.
Once your briefing is complete you will be allowed to enter the arena. This is where you will need your wits and cunning and your stealth and strategy to outwit your fellow players.
Good Luck and Happy Zapping.
